The government and the Prime Minister have issued important policies that demonstrate dynamism and a willingness to think outside the box and take decisive action.

Accordingly, at the meeting with business voters and workers in Can Tho City before the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly on the morning of May 14th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Can Tho City National Assembly delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the timely and effective directives and solutions implemented by the Party and State, which have helped the country's economy maintain stability and growth amidst global economic instability.

The government and the Prime Minister have issued important policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses, people, and workers, demonstrating dynamism and a willingness to think outside the box and take action.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly has a heavy workload and important content, which has been meticulously prepared, including meeting with and listening to the opinions of voters.

Voters who are workers have raised proposals and suggestions related to workers' wages, investment in building cultural facilities for workers; housing and dormitory policies for workers, and the construction of childcare facilities in industrial zones.

Measures to prevent and address "loan sharking," fraud, and property misappropriation via telecommunications networks; protecting workers' rights when amending the Social Insurance Law (lump-sum social insurance, insurance contributions, and retirement age); and addressing the issue of businesses owing social insurance contributions.

Voters who are business leaders are concerned about supporting businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, in accessing, expanding, and finding export markets; and supporting human resource training.

Voters also requested early investment to complete the Dinh An - Song Hau waterway and the Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho high-speed railway line to help businesses overcome difficulties in connectivity, reduce product costs, enhance competitiveness, and supply goods to the market.

The Prime Minister reiterated the need to continue implementing a firm, proactive, timely, flexible, and effective monetary policy, and an expansionary, focused, flexible, and effective fiscal policy.

In his speech, answering questions and responding to voters' opinions, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly had a heavy workload and important content, which had been meticulously prepared, including meeting with and listening to voters' opinions.

During this meeting, voters were very interested in the socio-economic situation, security and safety issues, employment and livelihoods, improving material and spiritual living standards, insurance and wages, and policies and regulations for workers and laborers. These were relevant and practical issues, and the responses from the agencies were frank and basically met the voters' requirements.

The Prime Minister stated that immediately after the 4th session of the National Assembly, relevant agencies focused on addressing issues of concern and recommendations from voters; and simultaneously implemented policies, tasks, and solutions decided and approved at the session, such as promoting planning and enforcing the amended Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.

Regarding investment, the Prime Minister affirmed that public investment disbursement will be accelerated, using public investment to lead private investment and activate all resources of society; and that mechanisms and policies will be in place to increase the economy's capacity to absorb capital.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to "remove obstacles and overcome challenges," and to steadfastly pursue the goals of macroeconomic stability, inflation control, growth promotion, ensuring major economic balances, stabilizing and improving people's lives, maintaining political stability, ensuring social order and safety, strengthening national defense and security, and promoting foreign relations and international integration.

The Prime Minister outlined specific tasks and solutions that are being implemented and will be further promoted in the coming period. In particular, the Prime Minister emphasized focusing on removing institutional, mechanism, and policy obstacles; while continuing to overcome the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring rapid recovery and sustainable development; boosting production and business, expanding markets, diversifying markets, products, and supply chains, especially niche markets, the Middle East, and countries using Halal food, creating jobs and livelihoods for the people.

In addition, focus on promoting the three drivers of growth (investment, exports, and consumption), removing difficulties for businesses through measures such as tax and fee extensions, exemptions and reductions, land rent reductions, debt extensions, debt restructuring, and interest rate reductions; promoting decentralization and delegation of power, administrative procedure reform, digital transformation, and reducing costs for people and businesses.

During a meeting with constituents, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Can Tho National Assembly delegation presented gifts and offered encouragement to 300 trade union members and workers facing difficult circumstances.

Regarding the task of promoting the three strategic breakthroughs (improving institutions, training human resources, and building strategic infrastructure), the Prime Minister stated that during this term, approximately 400,000 billion VND has been allocated to transportation infrastructure, with the Mekong Delta being prioritized for investment in expressways. Relevant agencies have also reported to competent authorities and are preparing for the construction of a high-speed railway, which will also be prioritized in the Mekong Delta.

The Prime Minister requested that all levels and sectors continue to compile, explain, consider, and address the proposals and recommendations of voters. Issues falling under the jurisdiction of a particular level or sector must be resolved thoroughly and effectively.

For proposals and recommendations that fall outside the city's authority, the People's Committee of Can Tho City will compile them and submit them to the Government, the Prime Minister, and relevant ministries and agencies for resolution according to regulations. For issues within the authority of the National Assembly, the Can Tho City National Assembly Delegation will compile them and report to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
