In the 2020-2025 term, despite the impact of natural disasters, epidemics, and difficult traffic infrastructure, most of the goals set by La Êê commune were basically completed.
By early 2025, the total cultivated area in the commune reached 805 hectares (grain crop area 437 hectares; output 1,100 tons, up 126.52% compared to 2020); the total livestock herd is estimated at 1,850 heads, poultry reached over 7,000 heads.
The field of forest management, protection and development has changed quite positively. The commune has assigned about 4,436 hectares of community forest protection. In the period of 2021 - 2024, La Êê commune has planted 389.7 hectares of large scattered timber forests among the people. Forest quality has been constantly improved with forest cover in the commune reaching more than 71%.
Although it is a remote border area with difficult terrain, thanks to the state's attention to infrastructure investment resources, after 5 years, 31 projects have been built in the area with a total capital of more than 51.7 billion VND.
A bright spot in this highland area is that the rate of households using the national grid and other electricity sources is 100%; the rate of households using clean water is over 90%. All 100% of villages have cultural houses and community activity houses; cultural and sports facilities are invested and upgraded, associated with the effective preservation of traditional festivals of the Co Tu and Gie Trieng ethnic groups.
In addition, more than 70% of school facilities have been invested in and standardized, the number of teachers and managers meeting standards accounts for 97.8% (above the standard of 90%); maintaining a stable 100% of 6-year-old children entering grade 1, students completing primary school in grade 6 and graduating from junior high school reaching 100%; the vaccination coverage rate is over 99.7%.

Notably, although the number of poor households is still high, compared to the beginning of the term, it has decreased significantly (the old La Êê commune decreased from 80% in 2021 to 40.28% in 2024; the old Cho Chun commune decreased from 86% in 2021 to 49.09% in 2024). To date, La Êê commune has completed the construction of 115 houses for poor and near-poor households with a total cost of 6.9 billion VND.
In the coming term, La Êê commune will focus on sustainable poverty reduction, preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. In the immediate future, strive to maintain the total annual cultivated area of 810 hectares (the area of grain crops is 450 hectares, the total output is 1,100 tons/year); the total livestock herd is 1,880 heads/year; the total poultry herd is over 7,000 heads/year. The poverty rate will decrease by 5-6% each year...
