Workshop “Summer fun, spreading joy” at PPS

In order to create a healthy playground for workers' children during the summer vacation, recently, the Youth Union of PTSC Petroleum Exploitation Services Joint Stock Company (PPS) coordinated with the Traffic Police Department - Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police to organize the PPS's Children workshop 2024 program "Exciting summer, spreading joy". The PPS's Children workshop 2024 program "Exciting summer, spreading joy" is within the framework of the 2024 youth union and youth movement program of the PPS Company Youth Union Executive Committee. Coming to the program, children are equipped with necessary skills related to fire prevention and fighting to limit accidents and casualties. Children learn more life skills, teamwork, develop thinking, creativity, and practice dexterity through activities of experiencing games and scientific experiments. The program attracted the participation of many children of PPS employees, children of officers and soldiers of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police and their parents.

During the experience, Major Mai Ba Thi - an officer of PC08 Department led the children through interesting and funny stories, creating many familiar and interesting situations for them to recognize the causes of fire and explosion, and how to handle them if a fire occurs. This activity not only contributed to creating a lively atmosphere, but also helped the children gain more understanding and awareness in using heat sources. In addition, the children were also disseminated knowledge about fire safety in public places, schools and households.
Children took turns experiencing fire prevention and escape skills in different spaces and situations: Escape, escape in toxic smoke environments; Escape, escape from high-rise buildings; First aid techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation for cases of cardiac arrest, respiratory failure... Through the practical experience, children acquired many skills on how to escape, notes when using escape routes, how to protect the respiratory system, avoid smoke inhalation, fire alarm skills,... to protect themselves and those around them in case of fire.

Following the experience, with the goal of discovering, stimulating and developing each child's individual talents according to their age, the Organizing Committee has implemented creative activities such as mixing, decorating cupcakes, making 3D clay paintings, decorating Uncle Ho's photos, decorating cards, breathing balloon science experiments, etc. The types of activities are organized interspersed to help children acquire knowledge in a way that is not boring and have the opportunity to participate in all activities enthusiastically. In addition, parents also participated quite enthusiastically, accompanying their children in the activities of making handmade products that are very elaborate and interesting.
The workshop took place in a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, bringing hours of fun and useful entertainment for children while creating space and time for family members to bond more in an environment without phones, laptops or the internet.

Experientialeducation , skill education through play-learning activities, learning while playing helps children develop their creativity, dynamism and adaptability, thereby developing personal capacity and increasing confidence. More importantly, experiential learning with children now becomes more interesting with the companionship of parents. Through the workshop program, the PPS Company Youth Union has created opportunities for parents to practice a new approach to developing skills for children, helping to discover and develop their children's talents. Not only that, throughout the workshop practice, discussions aim to create an environment for children to interact, cooperate and make friends with people with similar interests and passions; this helps children expand their networks and develop social communication skills, laying the foundation for the development of their personality and soft skills in life in the future.
