Workshops are flourishing, attracting young people.

In recent years, the term "workshop" has become increasingly familiar and is gradually becoming a new form of entertainment in daily life. In Thai Nguyen, although workshop activities are relatively new, they have attracted many young people, especially handicraft workshops.

A workshop is simply understood as a session or series of activities where participants exchange, discuss, and share ideas on a specific topic. Unlike traditional classrooms that focus on theory, workshops emphasize practical application, creativity, and interaction.

In Thai Nguyen , many groups of young people and individuals with artistic talents and life skills have organized small but creative workshops, ranging from painting, flower arranging, bartending, and pottery making to soft skills such as presentation and communication.

These activities typically take place on weekends, lasting about 2-3 hours, and create a space that is both intimate and enjoyable, allowing participants to freely experience the atmosphere.

Perhaps the trend of workshops in Thai Nguyen began with painting classes.

Ms. Nguyen Ha My, residing in Phan Dinh Phung ward and specializing in organizing painting workshops, shared: "Initially, I just wanted to create a small space for art enthusiasts to gather. Unexpectedly, the number of registrations has grown steadily, from high school students to working professionals. They come not to become artists, but to relax and be creative amidst their busy lives. These painting workshops not only teach basic skills in composition and color mixing, but also help each person take home a complete painting of their own."

With the advantage of not requiring a large investment, just a few tens of millions of VND is enough to open a workshop, so the workshop business model is chosen by many young people to start their own businesses.

Ms. Chu Hoang Thao, from Linh Son ward, said: "When I shared my flower arrangements and ceremonial towers on social media, many people loved them and asked to learn how to create their own works. So I decided to organize workshops. People come not only to learn and practice but also to socialize and connect with each other, so the atmosphere is always lively."

In reality, workshops in Thai Nguyen mainly consist of creative activities such as drawing, pottery, flower arranging, baking, and making ceremonial towers. Common to these workshops are their moderate size, with 10 to 20 participants, a friendly atmosphere, reasonable costs, and suitability for a wide range of people. This makes workshops a popular choice for both entertainment and learning.

At a workshop, tools and materials are provided so that guests can freely choose and experiment.

Nguyen Minh Ngoc, a student at the University of Science (Thai Nguyen University), said: "The experiences at the workshop were very different from learning in the classroom. The atmosphere was fun, everyone was eager to try new things, and we also made many friends with similar interests."

Many young people, after participating in the workshop, have discovered their passions and pursued them more deeply. Some have turned them into jobs, while others consider them valuable life skills. Ultimately, the workshop fostered a close-knit community where people with similar interests found common ground, supported each other, and spread positive energy.

In the age of social media, visually appealing images and creative products from workshops are quickly shared, contributing to their appeal and encouraging others to participate.

It can be said that the workshop trend in Thai Nguyen, although new, is proving to be very attractive. This shows the interest of young people in learning and experiencing, rather than just focusing on entertainment.

Workshops serve as both mini-classrooms and cultural and artistic spaces, as well as community bridges. With their creative spirit, desire for exploration , and connection, young people in Thai Nguyen are contributing to making workshops a positive and sustainable cultural trend, promising even stronger growth in the near future.
