On May 13th, Phuc Tho commune held a thematic meeting to evaluate the results of implementing tasks to overcome "bottlenecks" in the area.
According to the report by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Tho commune, Kieu Trong Sy, in the past period, the commune's Party committee and government have focused on decisive leadership and direction with the synchronized involvement of the entire political system to address existing problems in many areas such as urban order, land violations, land clearance, environmental sanitation, food safety, fire prevention and control, and the situation of abandoned farmland.
Many solutions have been implemented simultaneously, including inspecting and addressing hotspots of urban disorder; dismantling illegal and temporary markets; and many households voluntarily removing illegal awnings, canopies, and advertising signs encroaching on traffic lanes.
In the field of land management and construction order, the commune continues to review and handle newly arising violations, while strengthening propaganda and mobilization to encourage people to voluntarily dismantle illegal structures. Land clearance is identified as a key task with many solutions involving dialogue and propaganda to create consensus among the people; many households have voluntarily handed over land to serve the projects.
In the areas of environment and food safety, regular general cleaning campaigns continue to be maintained; many areas with accumulated waste have been dealt with; and the number of bright, green, clean, and beautiful streets has been expanded. Efforts to raise public awareness about environmental protection and food safety have also been intensified.
Concluding the conference, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of the commune, Nguyen Doan Hoan, emphasized that removing "bottlenecks" is not only an immediate task but also a crucial requirement to create a foundation for sustainable development for the locality.
The comrade requested the People's Committee of the commune to urgently develop a plan to overcome the "bottlenecks" with specific solutions in the spirit of "6 clear points," focusing on land clearance, urban order, environmental pollution, and land management.
The Party Secretary of the commune affirmed that only when the entire political system gets involved decisively, with the people at the center and consensus as the foundation, can long-standing problems be fundamentally resolved, creating momentum for Phuc Tho's rapid and sustainable development.
