
The event is part of the program "Comprehensive access to healthcare through innovation in healthcare" organized by the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Young Doctors Association.
The center was established to promote AI-based healthcare innovation and foster equitable access to cutting-edge healthcare solutions across Vietnam.
According to Atul Tandon, President and CEO of AstraZeneca Vietnam, the Healthcare Innovation Center is a member of the A.Catalyst network (with 20 centers globally) - a robust ecosystem connecting businesses, researchers, governments , and healthcare organizations to promote innovation that delivers tangible results and benefits.

The center's comprehensive mission includes: knowledge exchange through international cooperation; mentoring and training; supporting the commercialization of innovative ideas and solutions in healthcare and digital innovation...
The center will research and develop AI solutions that align with Vietnam's healthcare priorities, while also connecting with international organizations to implement joint research programs and support commercialization.
Associate Professor Huynh Quyet Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that the establishment of the Center for Medical Innovation is expected to build an ecosystem where the university's outstanding research achievements in AI and technology are directly applied to solve Vietnam's medical challenges.
