A container truck traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway suddenly burst into flames, causing a traffic jam of approximately 5km in the direction of Dong Nai .

At approximately 7:00 AM today (December 24th), the aforementioned container truck was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, heading from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai. Upon reaching Km13+100 in Tam An commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, the front of the vehicle suddenly caught fire.
Upon discovering the fire, the driver steered the vehicle into the emergency lane and attempted to control the flames, but without success.
The flames erupted fiercely and quickly engulfed the vehicle, sending thick smoke billowing into the air.

Upon receiving the report, Highway Patrol Team No. 6 of Department 6 of the Traffic Police Department, in coordination with the fire and rescue police in Dong Nai, approached the scene and brought the fire under control.
Due to the incident, traffic on the expressway in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai experienced a congestion stretching up to 5km.
Police are currently examining the scene and investigating the cause of the incident.
A five-seater car burst into flames on the highway; the driver said he had just bought it for 100 million VND.
Proposals have been made to open nearly 70km of expressway through Khanh Hoa province before the Lunar New Year.
The driver, carrying nearly 20 passengers, was using his phone while driving on the highway.
