In particular, Vietnamese durian has just received more good news when the Chinese Customs side approved 47 more planting area codes and 18 packing facilities that met export requirements. Accordingly, our country has 293 growing areas and 115 durian packing facilities of Vietnam that have been granted official export codes to this market by China.

“Enterprises have signed large orders to export durian to China. Some enterprises received an application to export 1.500 containers to Chinese partners. While some other businesses, on average, they have 2-3 containers carrying sieves to this market a day," the expert said.  

In addition to official durian, Vietnam and China also signed a protocol with mangosteen and bananas and are negotiating to sign a protocol with China on fruits such as dragon fruit, watermelon, litchi, longan , rambutan, mango.

Along with that, the Vietnamese authorities suggested that the Chinese side open more doors for other Vietnamese fruit and vegetable products such as green-skinned pomelo, fresh coconut, avocado, lemon, pineapple, and milkweed.

Exports of processed fruit and vegetable products in the first four months of 4 reached 2023 million USD, up 356,4% over the same period in 22,9. 

This is a species with great export potential because the world's people's dietary needs are increasing using processed fruits and vegetables.
