On November 28, a motorbike fire occurred in District 12 (HCMC).
At the time of the fire, two motorbikes driven by two men collided. The collision caused the two motorbikes to slide forward and crash into each other. Then, one motorbike suddenly caught fire, the fire quickly flared up and spread to the other motorbike.
Seeing the fire, people in the surrounding area quickly mobilized fire extinguishers but because the fire was so high, they could not approach the fire.
The fire burned both vehicles, causing serious traffic congestion in the area.
Previously, on October 23, while traveling on Le Van Sy Street (HCMC), a motorbike suddenly caught fire. When the fire broke out, the driver quickly pulled the motorbike to the side of the road and called for help from the people. Many people nearby used mini fire extinguishers and were able to put out the fire.
Another motorbike fire was also recently recorded on August 14 at Vinh Tuy Bridge ( Hanoi ). Accordingly, the motorbike driver was traveling on the road when suddenly the motorbike caught fire fiercely. The fire did not cause any human damage but the motorbike was burned down.
Faced with the recent increase in the number of motorbike fires, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department has recommended that people should be equipped with skills to handle motorbike fires.
Accordingly, in case of a car fire in the house, people need to quickly shout and alert family members to quickly evacuate or take measures to support fire fighting.
After that, people need to quickly use fire extinguishers available in the home, or use blankets, quilts, large pieces of cloth... soaked in water to cover the burning area on the car.
People need to immediately turn off the electricity to the burning area or the entire house. At this time, people can put out the fire with water, open all doors to let out the smoke and call the fire department at 114 to report.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department notes that when a fuel leak is detected, people should absolutely not use water to put out the fire because it can cause the fire to spread faster and become more difficult to control.
For fires in parking lots, as soon as a fire is detected, it is necessary to quickly shout and alert everyone around to handle the fire, move and isolate surrounding vehicles from the fire area, and at the same time, notify the security and parking forces to quickly mobilize fire-fighting vehicles and equipment to handle the fire.
Fire extinguishers and wet blankets can be used to put out the fire. In the meantime, call the fire department at 114 to report the incident. When the fire spreads beyond control, it is necessary to quickly notify people around to evacuate to a safe place.
