Vietnam U23 has won the Southeast Asian U23 Championship twice in a row. In this tournament, coach Kim Sang-sik has selected outstanding young talents of Vietnamese football to build the core and squad with the goal of winning the championship for the third time.
The team is training in Ba Ria Vung Tau and will leave for Indonesia on July 14. The 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship will take place from July 15 to 29, bringing together 10 teams, divided into 3 groups.
Coach Kim and his team, the defending champions, are in Group B, along with U23 Cambodia and U23 Laos. Group A includes Brunei, host Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Group C includes U23 Thailand, Myanmar and Timor Leste.
FPT continues to accompany the Vietnam U23 team in this tournament, broadcasting live on the FPT Play system platform, bringing to Vietnamese audiences all matches of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Tournament.
At the end of the group stage, the top 3 teams in each group and the second-placed team with the best results will advance to the semi-finals. According to the schedule, U23 Vietnam will meet Laos (July 19) and Cambodia (July 22).
