Famous Korean actors and singers coming to Khanh Hoa for vacation have contributed to increasing the attraction of the land of Agarwood to Korean tourists. Continuing that trend, the Department of Tourism will invite a Korean music group to perform at the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival 2024.
Destination of many Korean stars
The cast of the Korean film Marry My Husband with famous faces such as Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung... are on a trip to Khanh Hoa to celebrate the success of the film. After landing at Cam Ranh airport on the morning of March 10, the Korean film crew moved to Vinpearl Resort & Spa Nha Trang Bay (Vinpearl Nha Trang tourist area on Hon Tre island, Nha Trang city). Here, the actors happily took photos with the resort staff. It is known that the film crew has a 5-day vacation in the land of Agarwood. Besides exploring Vinpearl Harbor and watching the Tata Show, this group of artists will spend a lot of time visiting and exploring the coastal city.

The appearance of star actors such as Park Min Young, Na In Woo... shows the great attraction of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism to the people of the kimchi land. Previously, in June 2023, the cast of the movie Doctor Cha including: Uhm Jung Hwa, Kim Byung Chul, Myung Se Bin... came to Nha Trang for a vacation, celebrating the success of the work. Actress Uhm Jung Hwa updated a series of comfortable moments on the beach and hotel, making fans excited. Shortly after, actress Lee Hyeri, Duk Sun of the movie Reply 1988 and singer Rosé (member of the group Blackpink) also came to Khanh Hoa, stopped by a restaurant in Nha Trang and checked in at a coastal resort. The list of Korean artists who have recently come to Nha Trang also includes female singer Hyelin (member of Korean idol group EXID), actress Eugene (famous for the movie Cuoc chien luu ), singer Park Ji Hoon (member of Wanna One), female singer Arin of Oh My Girl, actor couple Shin Seung Ho - Hong Kyung... The image of Korean actors and idol singers appearing on the streets of Nha Trang, relaxing at resorts in Ninh Van (Ninh Hoa town), Bai Dai (Cam Lam district) is no longer strange to fans.

That effect has made Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa the most popular tourist destination for Korean tourists in Vietnam in particular and Asia in general. Since mid-2023, the number of Korean tourists to Nha Trang has continuously increased. According to information from the Department of Tourism, in the first 2 months of 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 350,000 Korean visitors, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2023. Currently, there are 16 - 18 flights/day from major cities in Korea to Cam Ranh.
Will invite Korean music group to Nha Trang
The visit of Korean artists and entertainment stars to the land of Agarwood is an opportunity for Khanh Hoa tourism to promote to international tourists. Unfortunately, up to now, the provincial tourism industry has not yet cooperated with Korean artists to create tourism promotion events for the province. Therefore, in a working session with the Department of Tourism in early 2024, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that the Department of Tourism invite Korean singers and music groups to participate in events in Nha Trang to create more tourism attraction.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism said that Korea is the largest international tourist market of Khanh Hoa. The provincial tourism sector really wants to have the cooperation of Korean actors and singers in promoting tourism. However, connecting with Korean stars is not easy, and the cost is also very high. Implementing the direction of comrade Nguyen Tan Tuan, the Department of Tourism is negotiating to invite a Korean music group to perform at the Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival 2024 to contribute to promoting the Korean market. It is expected that the festival will also include an art troupe from Ulsan city (Korea)...
In addition, in 2024, the provincial tourism sector will continue to have many activities to promote and expand the Korean tourist market. It is expected that this summer, the province will organize a working group to promote investment and tourism in Korea. The Department of Tourism and the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association also plan to invite famtrip delegations of Korean travel agencies to survey Khanh Hoa tourism. In tourism promotion, Mr. Ly Xuong Can - Vietnam's tourism ambassador in Korea regularly supports the promotion of Khanh Hoa tourism to Korean people. Many tourism businesses also proactively have their own promotion plans to attract visitors from the land of kimchi. “Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is a very popular destination for Korean tourists. On the online travel website Tripadvisor.com, Korean tourists often leave very good comments about Khanh Hoa tourism. I believe that, with the current successes and efforts of the provincial tourism industry, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa will continue to be a destination that attracts Korean tourists,” said Mr. Truong Minh Toan - General Manager of Potique Nha Trang Hotel.
According to statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, South Korea is currently the largest international tourist market for Vietnam tourism. In 2023, Vietnam welcomed 3.6 million South Korean visitors, accounting for 28% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam tourism (12.6 million visitors). In the first two months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed more than 844,000 South Korean visitors, an increase of 50.7% over the same period in 2023.
