Attending the Conference were the Standing Committee and representatives of the Veterans Association of the three former provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.
The conference announced the decisions of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association on the establishment of the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association (new) on the basis of merging the Veterans Associations of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (old).
Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association consists of 38 members, including 1 Chairman and 6 Vice Chairmen. Comrade Vu Cong Tien - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association (old) was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association (new).
Speaking at the conference, comrade Vu Cong Tien sent his congratulations to all cadres and members of the Veterans Association at all levels, and emphasized the key tasks in the coming time. In particular, the top priority is to quickly stabilize the organization, overcome difficulties in travel conditions, workplaces and life of cadres; strengthen the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, stick to the grassroots, and promote the role of members in carrying out political tasks in the locality.
The Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association requested all cadres and members to maintain a strong mindset, proactively grasp the situation, inherit valuable experiences from old units, and at the same time overcome shortcomings, continuing to promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new development stage of the locality.
