Spring in many colors

In painting, spring is depicted in a myriad of vibrant colors. From the classic works of Indochinese painters to the modern creations of contemporary artists, spring always sparkles and is full of vitality. The most famous example is undoubtedly the masterpiece "Spring Garden of Central, Southern, and Northern Vietnam" by the renowned painter Nguyen Gia Tri. The painting portrays young women in traditional regional costumes, joyfully singing and expressing the fresh vitality of spring within a vast natural landscape.

Created over a period of 20 years (1969-1989), this painting is considered the most exquisite work of this master painter, as he incorporated all the achievements of his research, exploration, and accumulation of knowledge in lacquer painting. This work is one of the representative paintings of Vietnamese art recognized as a National Treasure. Another famous work is "Flower Fair" by Bui Xuan Phai, depicting vibrant Hanoi girls in the spring colors.
