To attract Chinese tourists to the Mekong Delta, he proposed organizing hands-on tours where tourists can participate in local activities such as making rice paper, picking fruit, or driving a sampan on the canals; providing Chinese-speaking tour guides to help them better understand local culture and especially facilitating their payment and travel spending by connecting with familiar payment platforms of Chinese people such as Wechat Pay and Alipay.

Also at the Conference, a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism development cooperation was signed between representatives of tourism businesses of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and representatives of Chinese tourism businesses.
