Inspecting the response to storm No. 10 in Nghe An, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directed not to be subjective about the storm and to put people's safety first.

On the afternoon of September 28, after chairing an online meeting of the Government's Forward Command at Thanh Hoa bridge with ministries, branches and North Central provinces on emergency response to storm No. 10, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha went to Nghe An to inspect the situation.

In Dien Chau commune, the locality has 378 fishing boats with 1,285 workers. Fishermen have also completed moving their boats to a storm shelter.

This commune has 176 households with 540 people in the danger zone, which have been evacuated by the government to relatives' homes and schools. The evacuation points are fully prepared with necessities, ready to ensure the safety of people for many days if the storm lasts.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged the proactive and urgent spirit of the people and asked local forces to continue to stay close to the grassroots and promptly support people during and after the storm response process.

Storm No. 10 is forecast to directly affect Nghe An from tonight, with the storm lasting from 6 to 8 hours. Therefore, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the authorities and people to absolutely not be subjective or negligent in any stage of response work, especially putting the safety of people's lives first and foremost.

Coastal localities of Nghe An province have developed plans to evacuate 2,030 households/6,379 people from dangerous areas in the face of storm No. 10. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has directed localities to complete the evacuation of people from dangerous areas before 3:00 p.m. on September 28.
