Hanoi’s 5-star hotels sparkle for the festive season

Hanoi’s luxury hotels are glowing with warmth and color as the year-end festive season arrives.

Across the capital, five-star properties have prepared enchanting decorations, gourmet dining, and lively entertainment to welcome both local guests and international travelers. Service packages range widely, with festive menus and activities priced from about VND900,000 ($36) to VND3,000,000 ($120) per guest.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi

Under the theme “A Magical Dream of Light,” Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi brings French elegance to its holiday celebrations. Throughout December, guests can enjoy a series of culinary events at Le Beaulieu, Le Club Bar, Angelina, and Spice Garden.

On Christmas Eve, four special dinners will be offered, including a grand buffet accompanied by jazz at Le Club Bar and refined six-course tasting menus at the other venues.

On Christmas Day, festive lunches and dinners continue, with an Asian buffet at Spice Garden and a special à la carte menu served all day at Angelina.

On New Year’s Eve, the hotel presents an array of celebrations, from elegant dining to the lively countdown party at Angelina and a colorful late-night poolside festival at Bamboo Bar. Prices vary by venue.

Capella Hanoi Hotel

This December, Capella Hanoi invites guests to celebrate the season through its Michelin-recognised dining venues like Backstage, The Hudson Rooms and Koki, each offering its own festive charm.

Christmas Eve brings refined indulgence. At Hibana by Koki, Vietnam’s first Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant, diners may enjoy an exceptional teppanyaki journey. Backstage presents a warm, Northern-inspired menu, while The Hudson Rooms serves classic holiday favorites such as foie gras, beef Wellington, and yule log.

On Christmas Day, The Hudson Rooms hosts a vibrant Christmas Brunch featuring live music, a magician’s performance, and a generous feast of seasonal dishes, roasted highlights, and fresh seafood.

New Year’s Eve at the hotel is crafted for memorable moments. Backstage offers a seven-course tasting menu inspired by Northern Vietnam, while The Hudson Rooms celebrates with caviar, langoustine, Australian M9 Wagyu, and lively DJ sets. Guests may welcome 2026 with a rooftop countdown at The Hudson Rooms or enjoy a more intimate celebration over elegant dining and fine wine.

Hanoi Daewoo Hotel

Hanoi Daewoo welcomes the season with bright red-and-gold décor, highlighted by a gingerbread house inspired by St. Peter’s Cathedral in Adelaide. Café Promenade offers an international buffet, artistic performances, and visits from Santa Claus and Santarina.

Guests can enjoy a New Year’s Eve buffet and New Year’s Day luncheon featuring more than 80 Vietnamese and international dishes. At Ngan Dinh Hanoi, a premium Cantonese menu showcases delicacies such as roasted suckling pig with foie gras, Japanese scallops, and steamed cod. Meanwhile, Edo Japanese Restaurant introduces eight festive creations inspired by the four seasons.

Sheraton Hanoi Hotel

Sheraton Hanoi Hotel launches its Festive Stay package from December 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026, offering lakeside holiday charm with discounts of up to 50%. At Oven D’or, Christmas and New Year feasts feature roasted turkey, lamb, beef ribs, ham, seafood, and international favorites. Prices begin at VND 1,550,000 ($62) per adult and VND 850,000 ($34) per child.

Hemispheres Steak & Seafood Grill, a Michelin-Selected 2025 restaurant, offers a special menu on December 24, 25, 30 and 31. The menu includes foie gras, Nha Trang lobster, Wagyu beef, caviar, and snow crab. Prices start from VND 2,390,000 ($96) per guest.

Meliá Hanoi

Meliá Hanoi begins the festive mood with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. At Garbo Bar, the “Sparkling Festive High Tea” serves pastries with cinnamon and chocolate from 3- 5 PM throughout December, priced from VND 600,000 ($24) per set.

Cham Restaurant blends East Asian traditions with Western touches in its “Cham-ta Claus” menu featuring dim sum, Peking duck, and premium seafood soup. Prices begin at VND 2,500,000 ($100) per guest.

Mövenpick Hanoi Centre

At Mangosteen Restaurant on Christmas Eve, guests can enjoy live-prepared sushi, sashimi, oysters, foie gras, and smoked salmon alongside violin performances and a magic show for children. Prices start from VND 2,050,000($82) for adults and VND 999,000 ($40) for children, including half a lobster and a complimentary 360° video booth session.
New Year’s Eve celebrations begin with a jazz band, lucky draw, and family-friendly entertainment. Prices start from VND 2,150,000 ($86) for adults and VND 1,250,000 ($50) for children, with early-bird discounts available.

Novotel Hanoi

Both Novotel Hanoi Thai Ha and Novotel Suites Hanoi welcome families with Christmas buffet dinners priced from VND 888,000 ($35) per adult and VND 350,000 ($14) per child. Activities include a gingerbread baking class, letters to Santa, carols, and saxophone performances.
New Year’s Eve buffets start from VND 999,000 ($40) for adults and VND 450,000 ($18) for children, accompanied by musical performances and lucky draw chances for resort and dining vouchers.
