According to Booking.com data from June 2nd, this year's summer travel trends clearly reflect the demand for relaxation, rejuvenation, and family bonding. Instead of seeking out novel destinations, many travelers prioritize familiar places that are easy to access and plan.
Da Nang, a coastal city in Central Vietnam, maintains its number one position thanks to the harmonious combination of beaches, cuisine , developed tourism services, and its connectivity with many famous attractions such as Hoi An, Son Tra Peninsula, and Hue.
Coming in second is Nha Trang, a popular destination known for its beautiful beaches, diverse resort options, and various water activities.
Ho Chi Minh City ranked third, demonstrating the appeal of urban tourism that combines shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Da Lat ranks fourth thanks to its cool climate year-round, picturesque scenery, and many experiences suitable for families and young people. Hoi An comes in fifth with its advantages in cultural heritage, ancient architecture, and a rich and distinctive tourist space.
The next five positions are held by Hanoi, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, and Ha Long. These are all destinations that have established their brand on the Vietnamese tourism map, catering to diverse needs ranging from beach resorts and cultural exploration to short trips.

Notably, Da Nang was the only destination topping the list across all traveler groups, from families and couples to groups and solo travelers. Meanwhile, Nha Trang, Da Lat, and Ho Chi Minh City also frequently appeared on the lists of choices for various traveler segments.
According to Booking.com, travel trends in 2026 will be shaped by the “Era of You,” where travelers prioritize trips that align with their personal preferences and offer authentic experiences. This explains why destinations with well-developed infrastructure, diverse services, and the potential to provide fulfilling vacations continue to dominate.
