Fast Retailing Group, Japan, has just officially announced the list of 12 Vietnamese students receiving scholarships from the Fast Retailing Foundation in 2025.
12 excellent students receive scholarships to study in Japan
The Fast Retailing Foundation Scholarship is a full scholarship for Bachelor's Programs in English at 12 Japanese universities, covering tuition, living expenses, and housing expenses throughout the undergraduate program, with an average of 10 students per year.
This year, after reviewing applications and interview rounds, the admissions board has selected 12 outstanding students from 10 high schools across the country to receive scholarships. Specifically, 8 students in Hanoi from Foreign Language High School - Hanoi National University; Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted; High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities - Hanoi National University; High School for the Gifted in Hanoi National University of Education; Concordia International School Hanoi and TH School.
1 student from Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Hue . 3 students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted; High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City National University; High School for Practice, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Noriaki Koyama - Senior Executive Officer of Fast Retailing Group and Senior Secretary General of the Fast Retailing Foundation, expressed his belief that investing ineducation is the most practical way to create positive change for the future.
"Through the Fast Retailing Foundation Scholarship Program, we hope to accompany the future generation of Vietnam not only in their learning journey but also on the path to realizing their dreams and contributing to the overall development of society. I hope that through this learning opportunity, outstanding young people of Vietnam will have the opportunity to learn more about Japan and become a bridge between the two countries in the future," said Mr. Noriaki Koyama.
Le Manh Cuong, a former student of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Hanoi), shared that he wishes to become an artificial intelligence (AI) engineer specializing in developing early warning systems to minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
"Japan is a leading country in technology and creative thinking in this field, so I hope to learn the interdisciplinary approach and working style to apply to practical global solutions," said Manh Cuong. He will study Management, Environment and Information Studies at Keio University, one of the top prestigious universities in Japan.
Nguyen Hoang My Tran, a former student of the High School for the Gifted at Ho Chi Minh City National University, said that she hopes to build a social enterprise in Vietnam in the future, providing quality food at affordable prices to contribute to improving community health and promoting sustainable development activities. "I chose Japan because I believe that this is a suitable learning environment, where I can learn about discipline, sustainable thinking and a sense of responsibility to the community. I hope to learn from effective community development models in Japan, thereby finding suitable directions to apply in practice in my home country," My Tran said. She will become a new student majoring in Economics at Keio University.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Lan Anh, a former student of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue, believes that the opportunity to study in Japan will help her gain more insight, and she also hopes to learn how businesses here combine development with community responsibility. Lan Anh will study Management at Sophia University.
