18 excellent works won the National Press Award on the Judiciary sector

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of August 21, the Ministry of Justice held a ceremony to summarize and award the "First National Press Award on the Judiciary" and the "Online Contest "Learning about the Ministry and the Judiciary".

This is a practical event towards the 80th Anniversary of the Tradition Day of the Vietnamese Judiciary (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Judiciary.

According to the Organizing Committee, immediately after its launch (November 2024), the Award received enthusiastic responses from press agencies across the country through the number of entries sent in. Through more than 250 entries from all over the country, the first National Press Award on the Judiciary sector affirmed the role, position and great contributions of the Judiciary sector in 80 years of construction and growth, especially the mark in perfecting the institutions and building the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Jury was fair and objective in evaluating the entries and selected 18/60 entries to be recognized in the Final Round, to propose awarding the first National Press Award on the Judicial Sector, with 02 A Prizes worth 50,000,000 VND/prize, 02 B Prizes worth 40,000,000 VND/prize, 04 C Prizes worth 30,000,000 VND/prize and 10 Encouragement Prizes worth 10,000,000 VND/prize for two types of journalism: print and electronic newspapers.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes and certificates to 42 works that entered the Final Round of the Award.

According to the Jury, the highly-scored works are those that present new policies of the Party and State related to the activities of the Ministry of Justice such as digital transformation, Resolution No. 66, Resolution No. 68... closely following the issues of the Ministry of Justice. At the same time, they propose appropriate solutions, especially articles on Resolution No. 66, clearly demonstrating the pioneering role of the Ministry of Justice in the work of building and enforcing laws.

Also on the morning of August 21, the Ministry of Justice awarded prizes to the online contest "Learning about the Ministry of Justice". This is the first online contest organized by the Ministry of Justice on a sector-wide and social scale, pioneering the application of modern digital technology .

The contest has received the attention and active participation of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in general and the Ministry of Justice in particular. The contest participants are diverse, including individuals of different ages, levels, and ethnicities; residing in all areas and regions across the country.

The contest attracted 120,102 entries out of a total of 69,324 contestants. Contestants from all localities across the country participated in the contest. The provinces and cities with the highest number of entries were: Ho Chi Minh City (18,681 contestants); Hanoi (5,634 contestants); Dong Nai province (4,629 contestants); Tay Ninh province (4,516 contestants); Cao Bang province (4,120 contestants).

The contest is deployed on the Khaothi.Online solution platform, developed by FPT Corporation, allowing contestants to participate on multiple devices (computers, phones), access anytime, anywhere, with a flexible and suitable design that creates favorable conditions for contestants. Proof of this is that there were 75,420 contestants (accounting for 62.8% of contestants) using the Contest interface on mobile phones; 44,682 contestants (accounting for 37.2% of contestants) using computer devices. This shows that the Contest software is designed flexibly and appropriately to create favorable conditions for contestants.

At the same time, the solution provides real-time reports and statistics of results for the Organizing Committee to promptly monitor and manage. Thanks to that, the competition not only ensures transparency, safety and efficiency, but also helps to significantly save human resources and costs for the management agency.

After the rounds, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 13 contestants with the highest competition results with the following prize structure: 1 First Prize of 15,000,000 VND; 2 Second Prizes of 10,000,000 VND/prize; 3 Third Prizes of 5,000,000 VND/prize; 5 Encouragement Prizes of 3,000,000 VND/prize; 2 secondary prizes of 1,000,000 VND/prize. At the same time, 06 prizes were awarded to 06 localities that actively implemented the Contest and had the highest number of contestants participating and responding to the Contest, with good quality entries, with a value of 3,000,000 VND/prize.

Speaking at the Press Awards Ceremony and the Online Contest "Learning about the Ministry of Justice", Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh emphasized that, towards the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Justice sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) to contribute to raising understanding and awareness and the history, position and role of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Justice organized the first National Press Award on the Justice sector and an online contest to learn about the Ministry of Justice.

The jury worked objectively and fairly to select the most outstanding works to honor. These are not only professional awards but also recognition of the Judicial sector for the valuable contributions of the press in reflecting objectively and vividly the activities of the Ministry of Justice. At the same time, it encourages and motivates cadres who have been working in the sector to spread the good values ​​that the Ministry of Justice has contributed to society, contributing to spreading legal culture in the community. The success of the first national press award for the Judicial sector.

In addition, the Online Contest to learn about the Ministry of Justice is a clear demonstration of the effective coordination between the Ministry of Justice and the press and media agencies, demonstrating the interest and affection of journalists, reporters, editors, and people for all branches of justice.

Also at the ceremony, Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh officially launched the 2nd National Journalism Award on the Judiciary.
