The first national press award on the Judiciary sector

On the morning of August 21, the Ministry of Justice held the first National Press Awards Ceremony on the Judiciary and awarded prizes for the Online Contest "Learning about the Ministry and Judiciary".

The organizers said that through more than 250 entries from all over the country, the first National Press Award on the Judiciary sector affirmed the role, position and great contributions of the Judiciary sector in 80 years of construction and growth, especially the mark in perfecting the institutions and building the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The jury was fair and objective in evaluating the entries and selected 18 entries to propose for awards, with 2 A prizes worth 50 million VND each, 2 B prizes worth 40 million VND each, 4 C prizes worth 30 million VND each and 10 Encouragement prizes worth 10 million VND each for two types of journalism: print and electronic newspapers.

In the print category, the A prize was awarded to the 5-part series "Bringing Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW into life: "The door" for the Ministry of Justice to break through in the new era" by a group of authors from the Vietnam Law Newspaper.

In the electronic newspaper category, the A prize was awarded to the 3-part series "Legal integration - Silent mission and creative role" by the group of authors of Life and Law Magazine.

According to the Jury, the highly-scored works are those that present new policies of the Party and State related to the activities of the Ministry of Justice, such as: Digital transformation, Resolution No. 66, Resolution No. 68...; closely follow the issues of the Ministry of Justice. At the same time, these works provide appropriate solutions, especially articles on Resolution No. 66, clearly demonstrating the pioneering role of the Ministry of Justice in the work of building and enforcing laws.

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Judiciary, the Ministry of Justice organized an online contest "Learn about the Ministry of Justice".

The contest has received the attention and active participation of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in general and the Ministry of Justice in particular. The contest participants are diverse, including individuals of different ages, levels, and ethnicities; residing in all areas and regions across the country.

The contest attracted 120,102 entries out of a total of 69,324 participants. Contestants from all localities across the country participated in the contest. The provinces and cities with the highest number of entries were: Ho Chi Minh City (18,681 contestants), Hanoi (5,634 contestants), Dong Nai province (4,629 contestants), Tay Ninh province (4,516 contestants), Cao Bang province (4,120 contestants).

Notably, 75,420 contestants (62.8% of the total number of contestants) used the contest interface on mobile phones; 44,682 contestants (37.2% of the total number of contestants) used computer devices. This shows that the contest software is designed to be flexible, suitable, and convenient for contestants.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 13 contestants with the highest competition results with the following prize structure: 1 First prize worth 15 million VND; 2 Second prizes worth 10 million VND/prize; 3 Third prizes worth 5 million VND/prize; 5 Encouragement prizes worth 3 million VND/prize; 2 secondary prizes worth 1 million VND/prize.
