The Food Safety Department said it had received information that the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency was investigating and discovering a number of suspected counterfeit and substandard food products, including the two food products mentioned above produced by Herbitech Technology Company Limited (address: Block 8, Phu Lo Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi City).

While the authorities are verifying and handling the matter, the Food Safety Department recommends that people should not use the above two products until the police have a final conclusion.

The Food Safety Department will continue to closely coordinate with the police to promptly inform the people.

Previously, regarding the production and trading of 84 types of milk seized from a ring of 573 types of fake milk powder in Hanoi and several localities, the investigation agency determined that 12 types were fake, the rest were under investigation, and the Food Safety Department announced the nationwide recall of 12 fake products due to quality.

In addition, the Ministry of Health also requested hospital directors to urgently direct a review of the list of prescription drugs and drugs currently used in medical examination and treatment facilities. This is to compare with the list of counterfeit drugs that have been recently investigated and discovered by authorities.

Measures are taken according to regulations if there are violations, ensuring patient safety.

At the same time, review and check the prescription of non-medicinal products such as milk and functional foods to promptly correct and take measures to handle according to regulations.
