369 people in Lam Dong province received free cardiovascular examinations and screenings.

On May 17th, the Lam Dong Provincial Association for the Support of Poor Patients, People with Disabilities, and the Protection of Children's Rights announced that its free cardiovascular screening program for children and adults in the province had examined 369 individuals.

Dr. Tran Tu Nam, Head of the examination team, is examining the hearts of children.

The program, organized by the association in collaboration with Tam Duc Heart Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, was held at Pham Ngoc Thach Traditional Medicine Hospital in Lam Dong and Di Linh Regional Health Center over two days, May 16-17.

The Lam Dong Provincial Association for the Support of Poor Patients, People with Disabilities, and the Protection of Children's Rights is reviewing each case to prepare a sponsorship application for heart surgery.

The results showed that 369 people came for examination, 121 cases underwent echocardiography, and 10 cases were scheduled for surgery; of which 6 cases had applications for surgical sponsorship scheduled for the end of 2026, and 4 cases were hospitalized for continued monitoring. The total cost of this examination and surgical sponsorship campaign was over 700 million VND.

Representatives of generous hearts made this meaningful program possible.

Mr. Nguyen Van Luc, Chairman of the Association for the Support of Poor Patients, People with Disabilities, and Protection of Children's Rights in Lam Dong Province. They stated that the program will continue to be implemented in the eastern and western areas of Lam Dong province in the near future.
