45 localities announced exam scores: More than 1 point/subject also passed into public grade 10

TPO - Up to now, 45 localities have announced exam scores as well as admission scores for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year. In many schools, candidates only need to score 1.53-1.6 points per subject to pass.

Previously, the localities that announced the exam locations included: Can Tho, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Bac Kan , Nghe An, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Khanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Thai Binh, Lao Cai, Binh Dinh, Hoa Binh, Dong Nai, Lai Chau, Quang Tri, Dien Bien, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang.

Most recently, Lang Son , Quang Ninh, Binh Dinh, and Thai Nguyen have also announced exam scores as well as admission scores to schools.

The Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province has just announced the scores of the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, the admission score to Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (Lang Son city) ranges from 29.75 to 40 points. Of which, the Literature subject has the highest admission score with 40 points.

In Thai Nguyen , this year, Luong Ngoc Quyen High School has the highest admission score with 23.5 points. Following is Chu Van An High School with 22.25 points. These are also two schools in the province with admission scores above 20. Meanwhile, Tran Phu High School has an admission score of 9. Thus, candidates with an average of 3 points/subject can be admitted.

In Quang Ninh, the preliminary benchmark scores range from 4.6 to 21.6 points. The schools with the highest preliminary benchmark scores include Hon Gai High School (21.6 points), Cam Pha High School (19.7 points) and Ngo Quyen High School (19.3 points). Binh Lieu High School has the lowest benchmark score of 4.6 points, and candidates with an average of only 1.53 points per subject can be admitted.

In Binh Dinh, the school with the highest admission score this year is Quoc Hoc Quy Nhon High School (22.5 points). The school with the lowest admission score is Tran Quang Dieu High School with 5 points. Thus, with an average of only 1.6 points/subject, candidates can be admitted.

Previously, Lai Chau Department of Education and Training has just announced the expected admission scores for grade 10 in the first round of the 2025-2026 school year. Among non-specialized public schools, Dao San High School (Phong Tho district) is expected to have the lowest entrance score, only 4.75 points.

This score is the total score of 3 subjects, each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and no subject has a coefficient. Thus, to be admitted to this school, candidates are expected to only need to achieve nearly 1.6 points/subject.

In addition, 5 other high schools in this province are also expected to have a benchmark score below 10, including Quyet Thang High School (6 points), Muong Kim High School (8 points), Tan Uyen High School (8.25 points), Muong Than High School (9 points), and Nam Nhun High School (9.25 points).

This year, in many localities, candidates only need to score 1.53-1.6 points per subject to be able to pass public high schools in the area. Meanwhile, in many schools, candidates need to score at least 8 points per subject to pass.

When will Hanoi announce the exam scores?

According to plan, the announcement schedule for grade 10 exam results in Hanoi in 2025 is from July 4 to July 6.

This year, according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the announcement of 10th grade exam results and admission benchmark scores must be at the same time.

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training, from June 9 to June 22, the Examination Council of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will mark multiple-choice tests. From June 11 to June 22, the Council will mark essay tests.

From July 4 to July 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the test scores of candidates on the Department's electronic information portal and the city's primary admission portal. Also during this period, the Department will announce the benchmark scores of schools.

From July 7 to July 9, schools will return application documents and admission exam results for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year to students.

Before July 10, schools will receive students' appeal applications, submit appeal applications and lists of students to the Department of Education and Training.

One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade entrance exam is the adjustment of the way the admission score is calculated.

Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and does not have a coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects and encourage students to study all subjects equally.
