Previously, in 2022, VNPAY Cloud - Cloud Service Provider, VNPAY-POS (Smart POS) and VNPAY payment gateway were granted PCI DSS v3.2.1 level 1 certification. Over the past time, VNPAY has continuously developed solutions, products, and applications of the most advanced security technology, meeting strict system requirements, ensuring data continuity, safety and minimizing the risk of information theft.

PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a mandatory information security standard for businesses that store, transmit and process payment cards, managed by 5 international payment organizations such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB. The certificate is the highest level of Service Provider formed by the PCI Security Standards Council.

PCI DSS 3.2.1 includes many strict and rigorous conditions with requirements for multi-factor authentication, security standards in data encryption and requirements for policies to maintain compliance throughout the entire organization and conduct periodic reviews.

To achieve this certificate, VNPAY's services have complied with 12 groups of principles, passed nearly 300 detailed requirements on information security and data management processes, ensuring the following 6 groups of goals: building and maintaining a secure network system; protecting payment card data; building and maintaining network security; building an access control system; regularly monitoring and evaluating the system; information protection policy.
