Previously, in 2022, VNPAY Cloud - Cloud Service Provider, VNPAY-POS (Smart POS), and the VNPAY payment gateway were awarded PCI DSS v3.2.1 level 1 certification. Over the past period, VNPAY has continuously developed solutions, products, and applications utilizing the most advanced security technologies, meeting stringent system requirements, ensuring smooth and secure data flow, and minimizing the risk of information theft.
The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification is a mandatory information security standard for businesses that store, transmit, and process payment cards, managed by five international payment organizations: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. This certification represents the highest level of Service Provider certification established by the PCI Security Standards Council.
PCI DSS 3.2.1 includes many stringent and rigorous conditions with requirements for multi-factor authentication, data encryption security standards, and requirements for consistent compliance policies across the entire organization and periodic reviews.
To achieve this certification, VNPAY's services complied with 12 sets of principles, overcoming nearly 300 detailed requirements regarding information security and data management processes, ensuring the following six objectives: building and maintaining a secure network system; protecting payment card data; building and maintaining network security; building an access control system; regularly monitoring and evaluating the system; and implementing an information protection policy.
