Building digital infrastructure and introducing more practical applications to serve people's lives will be implemented by Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time.
Looking further ahead to 2030, Ho Chi Minh City will have fully established a smart city data platform to serve the development of digital government, digital economy, and digital society, with data widely shared throughout society. To achieve this goal, Ho Chi Minh City has set out seven major directions for the future.
Ho Chi Minh City emphasizes that digital transformation must always go hand in hand with green transformation, and the development of green industries must be closely linked to digital industries.
Prioritize the development of digital infrastructure, modernization, and staying one step ahead to promote the city's digital transformation, digital economy, and digital society.
The city also fully utilizes its authority to develop policies for digital transformation and pioneering digital operations, aiming to create a digital economy and a digital society, playing a decisive role in promoting innovation.
The locality also identified digital governance based on digital technology and digital data as the foundation for city governance in the period 2026-2030, ensuring rapid and sustainable development, and enhancing the capacity, effectiveness, and efficiency of management…
In the coming period, Ho Chi Minh City will utilize domestic and foreign resources to rapidly develop its digital workforce; build effective policies to attract investors to participate in strategic fields such as digital infrastructure development, digital technology industry, especially the semiconductor industry; develop concentrated information technology industrial parks, artificial intelligence, data centers, cloud computing, etc.
Above all, Ho Chi Minh City emphasizes the importance of popularizing digital skills so that people have access to knowledge and are equipped with the ability to actively participate in and equally benefit from the achievements of the digital transformation process, working together to build an inclusive and comprehensive digital society.
