On October 2, the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Construction quickly reported on the situation of overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 10 (Bualoi). Accordingly, the post-storm recovery work has been and is being urgently carried out.

Specifically, the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Construction said that up to now, Lao Cai province has 6 locations; Tuyen Quang has 6 locations; Thanh Hoa has 32 locations of flooding and sinking slopes; Nghe An has 42 locations of flooding and sinking slopes; Ninh Binh has 2 locations; Cao Bang has 6 locations; Son La has 2 locations.

At flooded and landslide-prone areas, the Road Management Areas and the Department of Construction have directed regular maintenance contractors to place warning signs and arrange 24/7 traffic controllers. Traffic jams will be cleared on October 2.

In the maritime and waterway sectors, aviation activities are operating normally, with no further damage recorded.

In the Railway sector, train operations on railway lines have stabilized and are operating normally.

The Yen Vien - Lao Cai railway line is currently stopping trains to fix problems (landslides, flooded roads...), and will resume operations today.

Previously, the Ministry of Construction issued a document on overcoming the consequences of floods caused by storm No. 10 on construction works.

To focus on quickly overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, proactively responding to the risks of landslides and flash floods, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, the Ministry of Construction requests the Vietnam Road Administration and the Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect and guide the work of ensuring safety for construction activities during the rainy and flood season.

The inspection work pays special attention to ensuring safety for the workforce, machinery, vehicles and construction equipment on highways in the mountainous, midland and North Central regions.

The Departments of Construction are required to proactively advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct relevant agencies and units to organize inspections and provide guidance on ensuring safety for construction activities during the rainy and flood season, especially ensuring safety for labor forces, machinery, vehicles and construction equipment on the roads under their management.

The Ministry of Construction emphasized that it is absolutely necessary to "not allow any human casualties and minimize property damage."
