ABBANK has a new CEO.

DNVN - With the approval of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the Board of Directors of An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) officially appointed Mr. Pham Duy Hieu as General Director of ABBANK effective January 1, 2025.

On December 31, 2024, the Board of Directors of An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) issued a decision officially appointing Mr. Pham Duy Hieu as General Director of ABBANK, effective from January 1, 2025.

Mr. Pham Duy Hieu, born in 1978, holds a Master's degree in Finance, Monetary Circulation and Credit from the National Economics University and has over 25 years of experience in the finance and banking sector. Previously, Mr. Hieu also participated in the management of ABBANK during various periods, and since August 10, 2023, he has held the position of Deputy General Director, assuming the duties and responsibilities of the General Director of ABBANK.

Mr. Pham Duy Hieu has held key leadership positions at the following organizations: Vietcombank Leasing, VietABank; VNDirect; Sabeco Fund Management, IPA Investment, and the Vietnam Science and Technology Enterprise Startup Fund (SVF).

With extensive experience in finance, banking, and human resource development, coupled with a deep understanding of the ABBANK system, Mr. Hieu is expected to, in his official role as General Director of ABBANK, spread a spirit of dedication and positive energy, fostering collaboration with the Executive Board, departments, and all employees to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, create positive changes, and achieve stronger breakthroughs towards ABBANK's strategic goals for the 2024-2028 period.

Sharing his thoughts on being officially appointed as the General Director of ABBANK, Mr. Pham Duy Hieu said: “Being entrusted with the responsibility of General Director by the ABBANK Board of Directors is a great honor; it is both an opportunity and a challenge for me in managing the Bank. During this period, ABBANK is undergoing transformation, enhancing its competitiveness in the market through a strategy of strengthening flexible and effective financial solutions based on customer understanding and comprehensively digitizing the Bank.
