The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has recently sent a document to ministries, departments, provinces, and cities listing 112 technologies ready for transfer, contributing to promoting the application of research results into practice.
Within the framework of the workshop "Promoting Technology Supply and Demand Connection" organized by the Innovation Department (Ministry of Science and Technology) on the morning of May 20th in Hanoi , Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tien Dung - Head of the Science and Technology Committee, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, introduced a list of technologies ready for transfer to the national science and technology exchange platform.
According to Associate Professor Phan Tien Dung, this list compiles 112 technologies in fields such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, environmental technology, agriculture , fisheries, new materials, aerospace technology, biotechnology, and smart devices. Many technologies have achieved a high level of readiness and are capable of being deployed in practical production, management, and daily life.
Several technological areas are receiving significant attention, including: the Vietnamese Big Language Model (VietGPT), AI and IoT platforms for agriculture and governance; intelligent systems for agriculture, aquaculture, and digital transformation for localities and businesses; biotechnology and microbiology for public health care; and UAV and remote sensing solutions for monitoring environmental resources and responding to climate change.

Associate Professor Phan Tien Dung believes that introducing and publishing technologies, equipment, and solutions that are ready for transfer will promote more effective connections between the supply and demand sides of technology. This will be important data to support businesses in finding suitable technologies, while expanding opportunities for commercializing the results of scientific research and technological development.
Over the years, many of the Academy's achievements have gradually been put into practice and transferred to businesses and localities; especially in the fields of biotechnology, environment, materials, information technology, remote sensing, and high-tech agriculture.
“The institute aims to promote connections between research institutes, businesses, and localities; and to coordinate with relevant agencies to gradually introduce suitable technologies to the Vietnam Science and Technology Exchange and other technology supply-demand platforms. Through this, we will strengthen the link between research, application, and technology transfer to serve the socio-economic development of the country,” the expert shared.
The 112 technologies at TRL 6 or higher announced this morning are the results of research conducted by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology during the 2021-2025 period on the science and technology exchange platform.
In addition to the list of 112 technologies ready for transfer, the Institute also has a list of patents that are fully ready for transfer.
"The Institute looks forward to receiving the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, other ministries, departments, localities, the business community, and intermediary organizations to promote the innovation ecosystem and develop the science and technology market in the coming period," Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tien Dung expressed.
