ACB asserts that the information is fabricated.
This evening, January 4th, Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) issued a statement regarding information circulating on social media concerning the bank's senior leadership.
Accordingly, ACB stated that it had received information about several individuals using social media to livestream and spread fabricated and false information about ACB leaders gambling and transferring tens of millions of USD abroad…
According to ACB, these fabricated statements have seriously violated the dignity, honor, rights, and legitimate interests of the leaders and negatively affected the image and reputation of ACB.
In particular, this false information risks causing public unrest and confusion, and negatively impacting the financial and monetary security of the finance and banking sector in Vietnam.
We will report the incident to the relevant authorities.
ACB has collected all content that has been posted and disseminated containing false information in accordance with legal procedures, and has reported the matter to the competent authorities for appropriate legal action.
"As a leading bank in risk management, ACB always affirms transparency, safety, and high responsibility in all its activities to ensure the rights of customers, shareholders, and partners," the statement affirmed.
According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation, previously, while livestreaming on their TikTok channel, a social media celebrity mentioned being shared information about Mr. Tran Hung Huy, chairman of ACB, with the content as described above.
However, ACB issued a statement tonight denying the claim.
