A video circulating on social media captured the moment the English defender was booed by fans at Anfield during his warm-up before the match. This was Alexander-Arnold's first return to Anfield since his move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old defender was included in the La Liga side's reserve list and warmed up before the match, also spending time chatting and shaking hands with former teammates like Curtis Jones.

After enduring a barrage of boos from the stands, a video circulating on social media shows Alexander-Arnold simply smiling in response to the furious reaction from Liverpool fans.

"Whatever happens, my feelings for Liverpool will not change," he said after the match. "I have memories here and I want to cherish them for life. No matter how I'm received, it won't change my feelings."

In the recent match, Alexander-Arnold only came on in the 81st minute to replace Arda Guler, but he was unable to help Real Madrid find an equalizer. The final result was a 0-1 defeat for Xabi Alonso's team.
