Warm "Tet reunion"

The "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program, organized by the Labor Federations of localities in Ha Tinh province, has provided hundreds of gift packages to union members and workers facing difficult circumstances.

On the afternoon of January 26th, the Nghi Xuan District Labor Union organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program for union members and workers in the area.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Tu Anh; leaders of the Provincial and Nghi Xuan District Labor Unions; representatives of sponsoring units; and a large number of union members and workers in the area attended the event.

The Nghi Xuan District Labor Union currently has nearly 2,900 members, operating in 89 grassroots unions. To care for the material and spiritual lives of workers, in 2023, the unions at all levels organized visits, presented gifts and subsidies to over 378 union members, civil servants, and workers with particularly difficult circumstances, totaling over 239 million VND; and supported the construction of 3 "union-sponsored homes" with a total of 90 million VND. Humanitarian and charitable activities are also given special attention by the union organization.

To celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, the Nghi Xuan District Labor Union organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program to present many meaningful gifts to union members and workers in the area.

At the program, the District Labor Union presented 146 gifts, including 10 gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (each worth 1.3 million VND); 40 gifts from the Provincial Labor Union (each worth 800,000 VND); and 96 gifts from social contributions and donations (each worth 750,000 VND).

...and presented a donation of 40 million VND to support the "shelter home" program for union member Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang - a union member of the Nghi Xuan District Medical Center.

The "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program also serves as a meeting and networking opportunity for union members and workers. The organizers also held a fun traditional game, a "lucky draw for prizes," for program participants.

Previously, the District Labor Union also reviewed and selected 60 union members with difficult circumstances and outstanding achievements to participate in purchasing various products and goods at the "Trade Union Tet Market" through reputable e-commerce platforms, with a support level of 300,000 VND per person.

Also on the afternoon of January 26th, the Cam Xuyen District Labor Union organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program for union members and workers in the area.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Truong Thanh Huyen, also attended the program.

According to a survey conducted by the Cam Xuyen District Labor Union, in the spring of the Year of the Dragon 2024, nearly 700 union members and workers in the district are in difficult circumstances and need attention, visits, and Tet gifts. The District Labor Union has developed a plan and directed 100% of grassroots trade unions to organize activities to care for union members during Tet.

Through appeals, the Cam Xuyen District Labor Union mobilized 17 organizations, agencies, and units to provide nearly 300 Tet gifts for union members, totaling 250 million VND; and directed grassroots labor unions to donate more than 400 Tet gifts to workers, totaling over 210 million VND.

At the event, the Cam Xuyen District Labor Union donated two "union-sponsored homes" worth a total of 45 million VND and presented 225 gift packages worth a total of 168.5 million VND. The remaining Tet gifts will be distributed by the Cam Xuyen District Labor Union at the "zero-cost Tet market" in the near future.

The Trade Union Federation of Huong Son district also organized the program "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing".

With the motto "All union members, civil servants, and workers will have a Tet holiday," and "no one will be left behind," at the program, the Huong Son District Labor Union presented financial support for 4 union-sponsored housing projects and 220 gift packages to workers and civil servants in difficult circumstances, totaling 280 million VND.

The gifts were donated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Confederation of Labor, the District Confederation of Labor, the District Fatherland Front, various units, businesses, and philanthropists.

Also at the event, the Huong Son District Labor Union organized the "Trade Union Tet Market," featuring 10 stalls from various grassroots trade unions with nearly 100 traditional items and products reflecting the vibrant spirit of Vietnamese Tet, serving workers and the people celebrating the Lunar New Year.
