An Giang: Many fun and recreational activities for soldiers during the holiday.

During the holidays commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975/April 30, 2025) and International Labor Day (May 1), along with the duty of maintaining combat readiness, to create beneficial recreational activities for soldiers during the holidays, the agencies and units of the armed forces in An Giang province have developed plans and organized various physical, sports, cultural, and artistic activities. This aims to contribute to improving the soldiers' morale, helping them feel more secure and confident in fulfilling all assigned tasks.

Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Van Phu, Political Officer of Battalion 512, Regiment 892 (Provincial Military Command), said: "This holiday period is extended, and to create a beneficial recreational activity for our soldiers, we directed the Youth Union to proactively develop a plan to organize activities during the holiday, such as organizing propaganda through documentary film screenings, theatrical performances, and high-level documents. The unit also participated in activities organized by the Provincial Military Command, the Regiment, and the local authorities. In coordination with our sister unit, we organized seminars and democratic discussions to learn about the historical events of April 30th; organized live television broadcasts of the April 30th celebration; organized folk games, volleyball and football matches, karaoke, and documentary film screenings for 15 sessions. Through these activities, each event brought high effectiveness in raising awareness and promoting action among officers, soldiers, and youth union members on this important and historic day for the country; helping soldiers understand the sacrifices made by the soldiers." "Our forefathers fought to regain peace and national unity."
