The European Village event takes place until May 15, 2023 at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Hanoi, offering unique cultural, artistic and culinary experiences.
The opening ceremony of the European Village took place on the evening of May 12 at Ly Thai To Monument with the participation of Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with representatives of 16 EU member countries and representatives of the special guest country Ukraine. Thousands of people Along the walking street, dozens of booths of more than 30 businesses and European culinary brands were set up to serve tourists. Locals and tourists, both domestic and international, flock to Hoan Kiem Lake walking street to immerse themselves in the European-style cultural, artistic and entertainment atmosphere through the stalls here. Most of the booths are hosted by foreigners, selling products from food, drinks, handicrafts, costumes, providing tourist information, entertainment activities, and "multi-sensory" experiences for visitors. Foreign enterprises enthusiastically welcome, provide information and services to Vietnamese customers. The whole neighborhood is crowded with both Vietnamese and international visitors. Many young people enjoy the games and activities here. A booth selling typical Romanian clothing products. Art exhibition space. Food stalls with European style food and drinks for visitors to enjoy. Western visitors enjoy participating in activities at the European Village event. Tu Anh, a student in Hanoi, learned about the European Village event through a Facebook Fanpage. She said: "I like European culture and cuisine but have not had the opportunity to set foot in these countries. The event helps me learn more about and experience European culture and enjoy delicious food."
