Comrade Lam Van Man holds the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Council of Nationalities.

The National Assembly elected comrade Lam Van Man, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Soc Trang province, as member of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly, Chairman of the Ethnic Council of the 15th National Assembly.

On the afternoon of June 25, at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly voted to approve the list to elect members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly for comrade Lam Van Man, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Soc Trang province and comrade Hoang Duy Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Bac Kan province by electronic voting.

As a result, 436/437 delegates voted in favor, equal to 91.21% of the total number of National Assembly delegates.

Afterwards, the National Assembly passed the Resolution of the National Assembly to elect members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly, with 435/435 delegates present voting in favor (equal to 91% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

Also at the meeting, with 434/435 delegates participating in the vote in favor (equal to 90.97% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), the National Assembly passed a Resolution to elect comrade Lam Van Man, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Soc Trang province to hold the position of Chairman of the Ethnic Council of the 15th National Assembly.

Earlier, on the same morning, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the dismissal of comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam from the position of member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the position of Chairman of the Ethnic Council of the 15th National Assembly, with 406/406 delegates participating in the vote in favor (equal to 84.94% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

Comrade Lam Van Man was born on December 10, 1970, in Phu Tam commune, Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province. He is of Khmer ethnicity. His political theory qualifications are advanced; professional qualifications are Doctor of Economics, Bachelor of Law.

He is a member of the Party Central Committee of the 11th (alternate), 12th (alternate), and 13th terms; a delegate of the 15th National Assembly, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Soc Trang province.

Before becoming Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee from October 2020, comrade Lam Van Man held many positions such as: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
