People's Public Security Forces aim for strong, comprehensive green transformation throughout the entire force

The workshop was also broadcast live to the Central Information Command Hall of the local Public Security and units under the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Pham Thi Lan Anh, Director of the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Security, said that the scientific conference with the theme "Green transformation in the People's Public Security" is an important event, both a conference to implement the Resolution of the Politburo on green transformation in the entire People's Public Security force, and a forum for management agencies, scientists, professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, and prestigious enterprises to exchange, discuss, and clarify theoretical and practical issues.

At the same time, the workshop proposed orientations and solutions, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Strategy on Green Growth and the country's sustainable development goals.

Faced with the challenges of climate change, environmental pollution and resource depletion, the State and Government of Vietnam have demonstrated strong determination in transforming the socio-economic development model towards green transformation, energy circulation, emission reduction and sustainability through the issuance of many Resolutions and Directives... such as Resolution No. 55-NQ/TW in 2020 of the Politburo on the orientation of Vietnam's National Energy Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Conclusion No. 81-KL/TW in 2024 of the Politburo on continuing to implement the Resolution of the 11th Central Committee on proactively responding to climate change, strengthening resource management and environmental protection; Decision No. 1658/QD-TTg dated October 1, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the National Strategy on Green Growth for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, along with national commitments to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 at the COP26 Conference and energy transition at the COP28 Conference in 2023; Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated July 12, 2025 of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent and drastic tasks to prevent and resolve environmental pollution...

For the People's Public Security force, green transformation is not only about implementing the general policies of the Party, State and Government, but also an objective requirement of the process of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security force with core functions and tasks in protecting national security; maintaining social order and safety... while participating in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and environmental incidents, protecting resources and the living environment of the people.

This multi-sectoral and multi-sector nature requires the urgent integration and implementation of strong and comprehensive green transformation solutions to reduce emissions, save energy, use resources efficiently and protect the environment...

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing 4 key content groups, including:

Viewpoints and policies of the Party and State on green transformation, sustainable development and roadmap for green transformation implementation in Vietnam;

Analyze the role of energy transition, renewable energy development, gradually replacing traditional energy sources with renewable energy in economic development, ensuring national energy security to serve the country's sustainable development;

Analyzing green transformation in the People's Public Security from an economic perspective, not only considers technological innovation and the use of clean energy, but also points out the effectiveness of public administration, the efficiency of resource use, as well as analyzing the costs and benefits of the green transformation process in the security industry and specific professional activities of the Public Security force...

The next key content is: Clarifying the tasks of the People's Public Security force in implementing the national green transformation goals, energy conversion in professional, administrative, logistical activities...;

Exchange and share practical experiences and effective models from ministries, branches, police units, localities, businesses, and experts inside and outside the industry on energy conversion, green technology application, and circular economic models.

Concluding the workshop, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc emphasized that the workshop "Green transformation in the People's Public Security" had completed the entire program, achieving very meaningful results in both theory and practice. Determining that this is an extremely important activity in the work of the entire force, the Ministry of Public Security will seriously absorb and synthesize all opinions, recommendations and proposals of delegates, experts and scientists to build a specific action program on green transformation in the People's Public Security force...

To realize the contents agreed upon at the workshop, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc requested units under the Ministry of Public Security to focus on implementing tasks within the scope of assigned functions and tasks; to really "get involved", do well and even better; to calculate a roadmap suitable to capabilities and conditions; to master advanced and modern technology, ensuring determination to carry out strong and comprehensive green transformation throughout the force.

In addition, the police force must do a good job of advising and proposing solutions... to Party committees at all levels, developing plans and solutions to effectively implement green transformation tasks at each position, contributing to building a sustainable country, ensuring energy security, environmental security, maintaining political and social stability... as well as contributing to completing the emission reduction goals, towards NetZero set by the Party, State and Government.
