The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025 has had 5 nights of qualifying rounds with 10 participating teams. As a result, team Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam Team 2) and team Jiangxi Yanfeng - China have qualified for the final night with perfect scores from the judging panel, which includes representatives of artists, art experts, and the consulting unit - Global 2000 Company.

According to the judging panel, the performances of the Z121 Vina Pyrotech and Jiangxi Yanfeng teams were considered groundbreaking, harmoniously combining high technology and distinct cultural identity, while also embodying the spirit of the DIFF 2025 theme: "Da Nang – A New Era".
Z121 Vina Pyrotech – also known as Chemical Company No. 21, under the General Department of Defense Industry, Ministry of Defense – is a veteran unit in the field of fireworks production and performance in Vietnam. With over 50 years of experience and a long track record of achievements in major national events, this is the first time Z121 Vina Pyrotech has entered the international fireworks arena at DIFF.
With a modern and creative performance style, newcomer Z121 Vina Pyrotech presented the "Aspiration to Soar" display, recreating Da Nang's proud journey of development – from glorious memories to aspirations to reach out to the world . The performance was highly praised for its fireworks techniques, innovative and unique fireworks effects, captivating storytelling, and profound, emotionally rich musical arrangement.
Meanwhile, the Jiangxi Yanfeng team, also the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2024, returns this season with a burning desire to conquer the top spot. The Chinese team demonstrated their class in the third qualifying round with a creative performance titled "Journey to the West: An Unofficial Story".
The meticulous composition and precise control of the fireworks, synchronized to the music, made a strong impression on both the audience and the judges. The Jiangxi Yanfeng team's fireworks display affirmed the prowess of a leading fireworks powerhouse in Asia.
Nadia Shakira Wong, CEO of Global 2000, the festival's art consultant, commented that both teams possessed superior technique, rich emotions, and an impressive ability to tell stories through light. The DIFF 2025 final will be a night not to be missed.
DIFF 2025 is the largest ever, featuring 10 competing teams from Vietnam, China, Finland, the UK, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, and Canada. Each team brings its own unique cultural colors and stories, seamlessly blending modern fireworks technology with the art of light performance.
The DIFF 2025 final night will take place on July 12th with the theme "Welcoming a New Era". The Jiangxi Yanfeng team from China will perform first, and Z121 Vina Pyrotech from Vietnam will perform second. Each team will receive nearly 7,000 fireworks from the Organizing Committee and create their performance based on the allocated fireworks. After the announcement, the two teams have about 10 days to prepare for the biggest competition of the festival season.
The DIFF 2025 awards system includes:
- DIFF 2025 Champion Prize: $20,000, Trophy and Certificate
- Runner-up at DIFF 2025: $10,000, Trophy and Certificate
- Most Popular Team Award (voted by the audience): $5,000 and a Certificate.
In particular, because this year all the participating teams delivered impressive and creative performances, with quality considered superior to previous years, the DIFF 2025 Organizing Committee has decided to add the following award:
- Innovation Award: $5,000 and Certificate
- Promising Talent Award: $5,000 and Certificate
