Hero - Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh receives new assignment

(NLDO) - Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh was appointed Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police.

On the afternoon of January 7, Ho Chi Minh City Police held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to transfer and appoint the position of Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PC07) to Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, presented the appointment decision and flowers to congratulate Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Personnel Organization Department announced the decision of the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department on the transfer and appointment of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh and asked him to quickly approach the job, constantly cultivate and practice revolutionary ethics, uphold the role and responsibility of a leader, proactively do a good job of advising and directing the effective implementation of assigned tasks.

Besides, it is necessary to continue promoting political mettle, capacity and working experience, together with the Party Committee and leaders of PC07 to maintain internal solidarity, build a clean and strong unit, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

In his congratulatory speech, Colonel Huynh Quang Tam, Head of PC07 Department, assessed Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh as a capable, experienced, brave and courageous commander.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh expressed his deep gratitude for the attention and trust of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Police; promised to continue to improve his knowledge and professional qualifications, together with the Party Committee and leaders of the unit, strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks; do a good job of directing and effectively implementing fire prevention and fighting and rescue work, contributing to ensuring security and order in Ho Chi Minh City.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh (43 years old, from Thai Binh) has worked in the industry since February 2001 and has been awarded the title of Advanced Soldier and Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level for many consecutive years.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President in June 2023.

During more than 20 years of work, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh has participated in many rescue missions in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces .

Notably, when Türkiye suffered an earthquake, Lieutenant Colonel Thanh was one of 24 officers and soldiers of the Ministry of Public Security who went to help the neighboring country overcome the consequences.
