Da Nang welcomes 1.17 million visitors during 2025 fireworks festival season

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025) is gradually coming to an end with the final night taking place on the evening of July 12. This is one of the events that attracts a large number of people and tourists to Da Nang. During the month of the festival, the total number of visitors staying in Da Nang is estimated at about 1.17 million, an increase of nearly 10.3% over the same period in 2024.

Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - the brand that elevates Da Nang tourism to the world tourism map.

According to a report by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments during the 1 month of the DIFF 2025 qualifying round (from May 31 to June 30) reached about 1.17 million, an increase of nearly 10.3% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, the first 5 fireworks nights alone attracted nearly 400,000 visitors, equivalent to the total number of visitors for the entire DIFF season in 2024.

In June 2025, revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services across the city is estimated at about VND 3,869 billion, an impressive growth of 22% over the same period in 2024.

The citywide room occupancy rate is high, ranging from 80-85%. In particular, 4-5 star hotels and central and coastal areas have recently reached 85-90% occupancy.

According to the Organizing Committee, DIFF 2025 will be held on a larger scale than previous years, with an additional competition night. Therefore, the number of visitors is expected to continue to grow strongly in the final night on July 12, with an expected increase of 15-20%.

The latest statistics show that, before the final, many high-end accommodation establishments have announced that they are fully booked, and it is predicted that the entire city will reach 90-95% occupancy during this peak season.

In particular, room occupancy rates at 4-5 star hotels in central and coastal areas with beautiful views of fireworks can reach 100%.

On the night of July 12, the Han River will light up again not only by fireworks, but also by the sublimation of music and emotions of a series of leading artists converging in the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) - with a competition between two fireworks teams Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yanfeng (China).
