After 6 years of implementation, the OCOP Program of Ha Tinh province has been quite successful in spreading and arousing the will and passion for developing OCOP products among the people. The whole province currently has over 400 OCOP products, of which 15 are 4-star OCOP products, the rest are 3-star.
Most of the products are highly appreciated by consumers for their quality, widely consumed in domestic and foreign markets and have many exported products. One of the channels connecting the consumption of OCOP products is fairs; trade promotion programs; stores introducing and selling OCOP products.
According to statistics, currently in Ha Tinh province, there are 24 points and stores introducing and selling OCOP products supported by the budget and invested by entities, enterprises and cooperatives. A reality is that most of the points introducing and selling OCOP products supported by the budget are located in prime locations in Ha Tinh city, the centers of districts, old towns or tourist areas..., with many advantages, but operations are not as expected. There have even been up to 6 points and stores that have stopped operating not long after receiving support.

For example, the OCOP product introduction and sales store at Thien Cam Tourist Area was opened by the Farmers' Association of the former Cam Xuyen District 5 years ago. With the advantage of being located in a key tourist area, this store was expected to be an ideal place to display, introduce and sell products that meet Ha Tinh's OCOP standards. However, after 3 years of operation, this store was forced to close, replaced by a seafood restaurant.
According to Ms. Lai Huyen Chau - owner of the Cheo Ba Chau dipping sauce production and processing facility in Thien Cam commune, the reason the store cannot operate is because of the lack of business strategy when displaying too many OCOP products from other provinces and cities. Meanwhile, some OCOP specialty products of Ha Tinh for tourists to enjoy and give as gifts to relatives and friends after their trips have not been focused on.
The OCOP and regional specialty store Thuan Hoa in Huong Son commune (located on National Highway 8A through the old Pho Chau town), after 3 years of operation, was forced to close because business was declining and revenue was not enough to cover expenses. Ms. Ho Thi Thuan - the store owner said that she spent about 1 billion VND to build and install a shelf system as well as import goods to serve business activities. In particular, the store was also supported by the province and district with 300 million VND according to current policies. At first, the store operated very effectively, with a steady stream of customers, but after a short time, the number of customers gradually decreased and became quiet, so it was forced to close.

Through surveys at the OCOP product introduction and sales points of Luan Thang (No. 6, Phan Kinh Street, Can Loc Commune); CED Central Store (No. 02 Vu Quang Street, Thanh Sen Ward) ..., it shows that most of them are operating in the form of both displaying, introducing and selling OCOP products but at the same time selling groceries and daily necessities to maintain operations.
The goal of building and developing stores displaying and introducing OCOP products is to promote propaganda and advertising activities, the quality production process of OCOP products and Ha Tinh specialties to customers, contributing to changing consumers' awareness and approach to using the products.
Through that, it creates motivation to promote creativity for businesses, cooperatives and people to unleash the potential and advantages of the region. Once expected to create many breakthroughs, however, in the process of operation, many stores have not promoted the advantages, the store owners lack a clear business strategy, are not really dynamic, flexible in applying information technology in promoting, marketing and boosting product consumption.
