Lao Cai strives to have 75% of trained workers by 2030

The 1st Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, set out 25 main targets in various fields, in which, by 2030, the rate of trained workers will reach 75%; the rate of agricultural workers in the total social workforce will decrease to below 42%.

The province focuses on strengthening close links between vocational training institutions, businesses and market needs.

To achieve the goal, the province focuses on promoting digital transformation in vocational education; expanding training occupations, especially emerging industries.

Develop specific mechanisms and policies to attract, train, foster and employ talented people; support training and create jobs for workers; closely connect vocational training institutions with businesses and market needs; strengthen the connection between labor supply and demand with large corporations, businesses and industrial zones inside and outside the province, and expand cooperation in labor export.

Along with that, the province also continues to support Thai Nguyen University Branch in Lao Cai to develop and expand its scale, moving towards building Lao Cai into a training center of the region.
