Student team supports overcoming the consequences of storm No. 11

After storm No. 11 caused heavy rain and deep flooding in many areas of the province, the Youth Union - Student Association, University of Industrial Technology (Thai Nguyen University), proactively established a team of "Volunteers to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods".

Members of the team "Volunteer soldiers supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods" participate in supporting people affected by floods.

The initiative was implemented promptly, demonstrating the proactive spirit, solidarity and social responsibility of the school's youth at a time when the whole province is focusing on responding to and overcoming damage caused by the storm.

On the afternoon of October 8, a team of volunteer students from the University of Industrial Technology coordinated with the Youth Union of Tich Luong Ward to support people in residential areas of Tan Thanh 2, 3, 4, 6, 7; Phu Xa 1, 2; Trung Thanh 13, 15 and areas that were still deeply flooded and traffic was cut off in Diem Thuy Commune.

Activities focus on transporting necessities, preparing meals, and giving essential gifts to disadvantaged households, contributing to helping people and soon stabilizing their lives.

Previously, on October 7, members of the "Volunteer Soldiers supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods" team coordinated with local forces to evacuate people to safety right at the time of the storm, ensuring the safety of people in high-risk areas.

According to the representative of the Youth Union of the University of Industrial Technology, the establishment of a specialized volunteer team in natural disasters is not only for immediate response, but also aims to build a long-term student force, ready to support people in all emergency situations.

The initiative contributes to creating a strong ripple effect on the spirit of humanity, responsibility and pioneering spirit of Thai Nguyen youth in joining hands with the community to overcome difficulties.
