Landslide into houses at group 11, Bac Kan ward.

At group 11, Bac Kan ward, on the morning of October 7, a landslide buried 2 motorbikes and 1 electric car belonging to Mrs. Ha Thi Tuyet's family. Previously, this area had been subject to landslides, the family had temporarily reinforced it, however, the heavy rain continued to cause the rocks and soil to slide down, leaving the family unable to handle the situation in time.

According to initial statistics , as of noon on October 8, the entire Bac Kan ward had 23 households affected by landslides. While cleaning up and reinforcing their houses, Mr. Doan Vu Be, Secretary of Party Cell 11, quickly arrived to assist other households in the group in cleaning up, reinforcing their houses, moving their assets and handling dangerous areas.

In the group, 11 households were affected and at high risk of being insecure due to landslides on the slope. Notably, every time there is heavy rain, large amounts of mud and soil often flow to this area.   making the work of overcoming the consequences very difficult, Mr. Doan Vu Be said.

According to Mr. Dinh Huy Hoang, Chairman of Bac Kan Ward People's Committee, due to the impact of storm No. 11, landslides occurred on roads, flooding in some residential areas, and broken electric poles, seriously affecting people's lives, with total estimated damage of about 8 billion VND. In that situation, the Ward's Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue mobilized 100% of its forces, coordinated with the Police, Army, Electricity and people to urgently overcome, clear roads, restore electricity, and support the evacuation of 27 households from dangerous areas, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

In Vinh Thong commune, storm No. 10 caused flooding in 5 households in Lung Sien village. Before the water could recede, storm No. 11 returned, causing severe flooding in 14 households. The local government had to urgently evacuate 17 households to safety... Provincial roads, national roads and inter-commune roads were also heavily eroded.

On the morning of October 7, the People's Committee of Vinh Thong commune mobilized excavators to clear the route, and proactively developed road and waterway plans to access and supply food to isolated areas; directed the militia and self-defense forces to coordinate with people to make rafts to support flooded areas.
