Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project: Launching a 90-day and night campaign to clear the land

On the afternoon of October 8, at Nghia Trung commune, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province held a conference to launch a 90-day and night plan to carry out compensation and site clearance for the North-South expressway project, the western section of Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh.

The North-South Expressway project in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section has a total length of 128.8km, of which the section passing through the North of Dong Nai province is about 101km long, designed with a scale of 6 lanes, speed of 120km/h with a total investment of about 25,540 billion VND. According to the plan, the project will complete compensation and site clearance by the end of 2025 and when completed, the expressway will become a vital traffic axis, connecting the Central Highlands with the Southeast region.

Leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and commune and ward leaders attended the launching ceremony.

The launching ceremony of the 90-day and night plan called "Quang Trung Campaign" aims to accelerate the work of reclamation, compensation, support and resettlement for people in the project area, and at the same time demonstrates the strong political determination of Dong Nai province in accelerating the progress of the traffic infrastructure project. Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches and localities to step up propaganda and mobilization work so that people clearly understand the meaning of the project, "go to every alley, knock on every door" to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of each household, promptly and decisively resolve legitimate petitions.

Rewards for households that hand over land early

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to direct branches in Dong Xoai, Dong Phu, Bu Dang, Chon Thanh to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards, Project Management Boards... to speed up procedures, ensure transparency and publicity in compensation and support for people; The Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board needs to urgently coordinate with relevant units to ensure funding for compensation and organize campaign activities, and prepare human and material resources to start construction as soon as the site is cleared.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province also rewarded the households who agreed and handed over the land early to implement the project and the branches of the Land Fund Development Center of Dong Nai province including: Dong Xoai, Dong Phu, Bu Dang, Chon Thanh and 10 communes and wards where the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project passes through signed a commitment, determined to achieve the goal of clearing the land in 2025.
