Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City bids farewell to end of term in Vietnam

Sharing information about her work in Vietnam, Ms. Ariadne Feo Labrada said: She has lived and worked in Vietnam for 8 years, in the positions of Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam and Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.

During her time working in Vietnam, Ms. Ariadne Feo Labrada has contributed to promoting the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries as well as between the provinces and cities of Cuba and localities of Vietnam, which has been highly appreciated by the leaders of the Cuban Party and State. Notably, she has contributed to promoting the development of diplomatic relations between Dong Nai and a number of localities and organizations of Cuba.

Exchanging information with Ms. Ariadne Feo Labrada, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang expressed her appreciation for the sincere feelings and positive contributions of Ms. Ariadne Feo Labrada over the past time. The Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City has played a very dedicated, responsible and effective role as a bridge in promoting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cuba - a relationship built on loyalty, steadfastness and mutual support over many decades.

For Dong Nai province, Ms. Ariadne Feo Labrada has always accompanied and supported the process of expanding and strengthening cooperation with Cuban partners in many fields. With her close support, Dong Nai province and Pinar del Rio province successfully signed an Agreement on establishing friendly cooperation relations in October 2024. This is an important milestone, contributing to opening a comprehensive cooperation framework between the two localities. After signing, many contents have been effectively implemented, creating a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.

Dong Nai province pays great attention to people-to-people diplomacy activities, strengthening solidarity and close relations between the people of Dong Nai province and the people of foreign localities. It is expected that in the near future, the province will establish a Steering Committee to promote the establishment of the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association to strengthen solidarity, traditional friendship, understanding and mutual support between the people of the two countries, promoting multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba in general, between Dong Nai province and Cuban localities in particular.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang hopes that Ms. Ariadne Feo Labrada will continue to be a reliable bridge, contributing to further developing the traditional friendship between Cuba and Vietnam, as well as promoting cooperation between Cuba and Dong Nai province.
