More than 4 tons of rice and essential goods are ready to support people affected by natural disasters.

(DN) - On the afternoon of November 24, the Women's Union of Dong Xoai Ward organized the loading of more than 4 tons of rice, goods, and necessities onto a car, ready for the trip tomorrow morning (November 25) to support people affected by natural disasters in the Central provinces.

Chairwoman of Dong Xoai Ward Women's Union Hoang Lan Anh said: In the face of the devastation caused by natural disasters and great damage in all aspects to the Central provinces, on November 23, the union called on all cadres and members of the union branches in the whole ward to support with the spirit of "the whole leaf covers the torn leaf", "a piece of food when hungry is worth a package when full". Within one day, the union mobilized a total of 2 tons of rice, 210 cartons of instant noodles, 30 cartons of milk, 130 cartons of mineral water and many necessities, clothes, goods, with a total of over 4 tons of all kinds.

The Association called on and asked the commune militia to load more than 4 tons of goods, rice, and necessities onto the vehicle to march early tomorrow morning (November 25) to the people in the flooded areas of Dak Lak province.

The leaders of Dong Xoai ward acknowledged and commended the timely intervention of the ward's female officers and members; at the same time, they hoped that the volunteer group of female officers and members would have a safe trip, helping many people in the Central region.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Xoai Ward Bui Anh Khoa added: Tomorrow morning (November 25), the Red Cross Society of the ward and a number of organizations will collect donations and mobilize goods and necessities to provide timely support to people in disaster-stricken areas.
