To promptly support people to overcome difficulties, the Central Committee of the Association allocated nearly 1.7 billion VND in emergency relief, including cash, essential goods and P&G water filter powder boxes, specifically: Cao Bang province (400 million VND in cash, 300 boxes of household goods and 48,000 P&G water filter powder packages); Thai Nguyen province (300 million VND in cash and 48,000 P&G water filter powder packages); Lang Son province (300 million VND in cash and 48,000 P&G water filter powder packages); Nghe An province (223,680 P&G water filter powder packages to support households affected by clean water).
The relief fund is drawn from the "Joining hands to overcome floods" campaign launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee through account H2025 (Vietcombank). The working group of the Association will directly visit the locality to visit, encourage and provide support to the people in the coming days.
The Central Committee will continue to use 3.6 billion VND from the "Joining hands to overcome floods" campaign to buy household goods boxes to serve emergency response work when natural disasters occur.
This emergency relief activity continues to affirm the core role of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in humanitarian work, promptly sharing difficulties and helping people in the provinces to soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters./.
