Building 4 intangible cultural heritage dossiers to submit to UNESCO

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent a document to the Prime Minister requesting permission to build four intangible cultural heritage dossiers to submit to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Accordingly, 4 dossiers proposed to UNESCO for inclusion in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity include: Practice of worshipping Mother Goddess Thien YA Na of Khanh Hoa province; Pho of Hanoi city; folk knowledge of growing and processing longan of Hung Yen province; knowledge of growing and processing coffee of Dak Lak province. According to the plan, in December 2025, at the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2003 Convention, the dossier of Dong Ho folk painting craft of Vietnam will be considered for inclusion in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
