Former player Nguyen Hai Huy decided not to renew his contract with Binh Duong after the 2024/25 season. On his personal page, the midfielder born in 1991 shared emotionally: “There is a beginning, there will be an end, there will be a coming, there will be a going. After 2 unforgettable years, it is time for me to say goodbye to Binh Duong.”
Joining Binh Duong in 2023, Hai Huy quickly asserted his leadership role in the midfield. Although the team experienced many changes and had inconsistent performance, he still played with great effort. In the 2023/24 season, Hai Huy played 20 matches in the V.League, and in the 2024/25 season, he played 15 matches and scored 1 goal. These numbers show the professionalism and perseverance of the 34-year-old veteran.
After leaving Binh Duong, Hai Huy is expected to return to play for Quang Ninh , his hometown team that just won promotion to the First Division.
On the other hand, Binh Duong welcomed at least 5 new domestic players. The most notable is Phan Thanh Hau, who was honored by The Guardian in the "top 40 young talents in the world " in 2014. The midfielder born in 1997 signed a contract with Binh Duong and is expected by coach Nguyen Anh Duc to fill the void left by Hai Huy.
In addition to Thanh Hau, Binh Duong also recruited Cao Quoc Khanh, Vu Viet Trieu and Nguyen Trong Hung. Goalkeeper Do Sy Huy, after parting ways with CAHN, is also said to be about to join the team in Thu Dau Mot.
