Ho Chi Minh City approves investment in CMC Data Center

The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) has recently officially approved CMC Technology Group to invest in the CMC Hyperscale Data Center project with a total capital of more than 250 million USD.

The CMC Hyperscale Data Center project has an initial design capacity of 30 MW, expected to expand to 120 MW, serving the huge computing needs for artificial intelligence (AI) development and digital economic sectors.

The project's technological highlight is the Digital Twin system, which allows simulation and real-time monitoring of operations, optimizing the performance of the entire data center; the 800G DWDM optical transmission network system ensures large, stable and safe bandwidth connections. Along with that are renewable energy solutions, providing green solutions for the environment and meeting Green DC standards.

Not only does it have technological significance, the project is also associated with the national mission, gradually developing Ho Chi Minh City as the first AI city model in Vietnam.
With this infrastructure, Ho Chi Minh City has an additional advantage in attracting R&D centers, AI startups, investment funds, and technology universities, making its ambition of becoming a regional Digital Hub a reality.

CMC Hyperscale DC SHTP applies Digital Twin and renewable energy, aiming towards the international standard Green DC model.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Executive Chairman of CMC Technology Group shared: “We do not consider CMC Hyperscale Data Center SHTP as a mere data center. This is the infrastructure foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to develop into a regional Digital Hub, a core infrastructure serving digital transformation, AI transformation, a place where Vietnamese enterprises can access the most powerful computing resources, no longer having to bring data abroad."

This is a specific action of CMC Technology Group in response to Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation as well as Resolution No. 68 on private economic development of the Politburo .

The CMC Hyperscale Data Center project in Ho Chi Minh City is expected to be a breakthrough development, putting Vietnam on the Southeast Asian data infrastructure map, ready to welcome large technology corporations and global AI enterprises.
