'Westerner' Kyo York wears Vietnamese ao dai, sings song to celebrate the Year of the Snake

On the days leading up to the Lunar New Year 2025, American singer Kyo York surprised fans by simultaneously releasing a series of songs celebrating Lunar New Year, with cheerful melodies and beautiful vocals.

With a deep love for the Vietnamese language, in the days eagerly welcoming the Spring of At Ty 2025, Kyo York has "released" a series of songs welcoming the Spring, including The First Spring (musician Tuan Khanh), Spring Song (musician Vo Thien Thanh) and God of Wealth Comes (Foreign Music - Vietnamese Lyrics: Nguyen Ngoc Thien). According to the male singer, that is also his way to ease his homesickness when the New Year comes.

If the Spring Melody and the first Spring are sweet with a gentle, soulful, and warm rhythm, the coming of the God of Wealth is cheerful and bustling like a young child eagerly showing off his new clothes in Spring.

From America, 8X guy Kyo York "accidentally" came to Vietnam more than 10 years ago and since then, he has had a chance to pursue art and become a famous foreign artist, working persistently in Vietnamese showbiz until today.

On that long journey, Kyo still silently learned, devoted himself and improved his Vietnamese language, pronunciation and intonation every day, and from then on, the musical melodies that seemed so distant in the past, became a part of his life, while living far away from his family and relatives halfway around the world.

Loving folk songs and traditional values that the S-shaped land is preserving, Kyo York now seems to be a Vietnamese, sociable, friendly and has become a "cultural and peace ambassador" of the two countries and two peoples of Vietnam and the United States.

Sharing about his future plans, Kyo York said he hopes to bring many quality products in the near future. At the same time, the American singer hopes that his music can spread positive energy to the public.
